NAOMI CAMPBELL did not approach Miranda Kerr to star in the Australian version ofThe Face, despite stories to the contrary. The supermodel – whose successful modelling-panel-show franchise has already appeared on British and American screens – signed model and jewellery designer Nicole Trunfio for the Australian episodes, which started filming yesterday, and asserted that she certainly wasn’t second choice.
“Naomi did not approach Miranda Kerr to take part inThe FaceAustralia,” an official spokesperson for Campbell told us today. “Naomi thinks highly of Miranda, but they never spoke about her joining the show and the current story that is circulating is not accurate.”
The story first appeared in the New York Postlast week, which claimed that “Naomi’s team reached out to her but Miranda was already committed to other things”. Kerr is currently based in New York and has most recently been pictured spending time with her son, following her split from husband Orlando Bloom.
